Campus police and university officials are investigating an incident at California State University, Sacramento, in which written hate speech was discovered directed at the school’s Muslim community. Members of the Muslim Student Association had reportedly left a sign-up sheet for their club before leaving for class, on to return and discover that a hateful message scrawled across it. School officials would not discuss the form or content of the note, but a letter from the president to students regarding the incident read, “We will not tolerate hateful and racist behavior on this campus, and we will pursue sanctions against those who are identified.”
