A Muslim couple was removed from a Delta Airlines flight from Paris to Cincinnati, Ohio, reportedly for saying “God” in Arabic. Returning from a trip to Paris for their 10th wedding anniversary, Faisal and Nazia Ali — parents of three children and U.S. citizens — were asked to leave the plane after another passenger told flight attendants she was “uncomfortable” because the Faisal was wearing a headscarf and her husband was sweating. She also expressed discomfort with Faisal Ali murmuring “Allah,” and other Muslim passengers were allegedly singled out and questioned on the plane. The couple, who were also interrogated by security officials, later filed a complaint accusing Delta Airlines broke federal law by discriminating against the Alis.
